We'll read winter-themed stories, act out portions of them, and create our own wintry stories and crafts. Early writers and children not quite writing yet are welcome as well as children who are already authors in their own right. Hot chocolate served!
Letters to a Young Black Girl
With Black culture writer and editor, Zahara Hill, girls will explore self-love, #BlackGirlMagic, and Black women in pop culture and history. As we go, we'll create art and write letters to ourselves, other Black girls/women--even letters to our hair!
Mighty Elementary Academy
This after school program for grades 3-5 helps children develop proficient/advanced writing skills. We'll complete writing projects, build community, and have fun along the way! Homework help and snack provided. Orientation and application is required.
Mighty Teen Scholars 2019-20
We read literature that is not seen in schools. Our reading & writing leads to thought-provoking discussions about issues effecting us & our community. We write persuasive & informative essays, creative fiction! College trips TBD. We are now waitlisting.

Parents come and spend a few hours in educational fun with your toddlers and preschoolers. This weekly play session teaches early literacy skills. Mighty Toddlers have an amazing time sharing and creating stories while preparing for kindergarten.
January Family Write Night
Join us for a night of intergenerational writing. We’ll explore topics like culture, family history & mightiness, providing opportunities for kids and adults to share ideas, share stories & write together! Be ready to play games, too. Pizza served
Mighty Writers knows just how critical it is for kids to read on grade level by 4th grade. Kids in this program will read with an adult each week to strengthen literacy skills, journal, and develop a love of reading.
Middle Grades Academy

The MW community comes together to learn mindfulness tools, strategies & activities. Learn ways to teach youth to relax and feel centered all while helping them develop. Parents, youth, volunteers & everyone welcome!
