Greedy Readers Book Club
Young women who like to read: Join our monthly book club! We read your favorites, like "Brazen, Rebel Ladies Who Rocked the World" and "for colored girls". We write, too. This is our 6th year of meeting. New members welcome. Pizza served.
Mighty Elementary Academy
This after school program for grades 3-5 helps children develop proficient/advanced writing skills. We'll complete writing projects, build community, and have fun along the way! Homework help and snack provided. Application and interview required.
Mighty Teen Scholars
We read African American Literature that we don't see in our schools. Writing leads to thought-provoking discussions about issues effecting us and our community. We write persuasive essays, fiction & case studies.
Come and spend a few hours in educational fun with your toddlers. This weekly play session is family fun. Bring your toddlers and prepare to have an amazing time learning with your Mighty Toddler.

Everyone has a story to tell. Interview others and write stories with an emotional punch. Through active listening, observation, and effective questioning, you’ll write a powerful feature about someone--one will be written about you too! Snacks served.
Who says grammar isn't fun? In teams, play active grammar games for prizes while strengthening your writing skills. Doors open at 3 for homework help and snack. May your nouns and verbs be forever in agreement! (This is an Academy program.)
Who Runs the World? Girls!
Society attempts to leave girls weak, guarded and voiceless. Through readings, writing, team-building, and dialogue about boundaries and cultural messaging, girls will develop their compassionate and empowered voices. We'll share meals, too!
College Essay Night
Join MW staff and volunteers as we'll help seniors perfect their college entrance and scholarship essays! You should be attending high school in Philadelphia. If you've already written an essay, we'll help you revise and polish it. Light fare served.
Intro to Improv
Middle schoolers, come join us and learn improvisational acting. We'll play acting games each day and perform too. Have some laughs while learning how to think on your feet as an improv actor! (Doors open at 3; drop in early for snack and homework help).
