KALELA WILLIAMS, MW's first director of writing. grew up in Atlanta and spent several years in central Virginia before making her home in Philadelphia. She has worked with nonprofits for more than a decade, instituting literary, artistic, cultural and civic engagement programs for organizations such as Virginia’s Furious Flower Poetry Center and the Free Library of Philadelphia. Her writing has appeared in literary magazines and has been featured on the BBC 4 Channel.
