Mighty Writers El Futuro Kennett
Mighty Writers El Futuro Kennett is a bright and cheerful space where kids of all ages attend bilingual after-school writing workshops, get individual help with homework, learn social-emotional skills like mindfulness, empathy and conflict resolution, and create artistic projects that pay tribute to their Latino heritage.
Their families are supported at Mighty Writers too – through free activities that help them connect with other parents and build skills that will help them in the job market.
Mighty Kennett families also have access to our client choice food pantry, where they get fresh food — fruit, veggies, meat, dairy and more — and a nice selection of basic needs items, like diapers and formula.
And it’s all for free.
When school's out, our Mighty kids come to our summer camp, which offers programs in writing, STEM and arts, and offers field trips to museums, cultural centers, and even other cities, like Washington, D.C.
At Mighty Writers El Futuro Kennett, as in our other programs, se’ve seen scores of children toddle into our studios, wearing oversized backpacks, and grow over the years into confident high school graduates who are excited to go on to college. Why shouldn’t all children have futures as bright?

Mighty Writers is a class 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 2009. One hundred percent of the programs we offer are free. We serve communities in and around Philadelphia, PA, as well as in Camden, Newark and Atlantic City, NJ. We also run writing workshops in Washington Heights, NYC.
