Information for Parents
Parents and caregivers are some of our most important partners in children’s success. Here’s what you can expect from us:
- A child-friendly environment that embodies our core values of optimism, resilience and respect.
- Staff who communicate rigorously and thoughtfully, providing general information, program updates and observations related to your child specifically.
- Thoughtful adherence to best practices in writing education, social-emotional learning, child safety and community health.
- Policies that are available upon request.
- Staff, contracted educators and volunteers who have passed complete background checks in accordance with local, state and federal laws.
Here’s what Mighty Writers asks from parents and caregivers:
- When you enroll in a toddler program or workshop, attend as many sessions as possible.
- When you enroll your child in an after-school program, ensure that they attend at least three days per week.
- When you agree to a mentorship, commit for at least six months.
- Let us know what we’re doing right, and what we can do better. We’re always open to feedback from parents.
We can’t wait to meet you!
